Corteo Ending: A Lesson on Stopping to Enjoy Life

Corteo tells the story of a clown who dreams of his own funeral, and the colorful procession of friends and family who come to celebrate his life. But as the performance comes to a close, the clown realizes that he’s been so focused on his own mortality that he’s forgotten to truly live in the present moment.

This poignant message resonates with all of us, as we often get caught up in the daily grind of work and responsibilities, and forget to take time to appreciate the beauty and joy in life. Whether it’s spending time with loved ones, pursuing hobbies, or simply enjoying the simple pleasures of life, it’s important to make time to stop and appreciate the little things.

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

― Ferris Bueller

As I was watching this show, I was filled with surprises and deeply touched by the message. Because I thought of my grandfather, whose death and funeral I was not able to attend. This is a regret that I have not able to fully reconcile for a long time. I recently learned that he felt that I was there with him emotionally even I was not there in person. That gives me closure to this regret. I want to be able to move forward, carrying more positive messages from him from now on. This is one of them. I felt so much of his presence in this show that it was shocking to me. Tears were welling in my eyes. I know he wants me to stop and enjoy life as I go.
