Childlike Heart for Joy

“All grown-ups were once children… but only few of them remember it.”

Because of my son, I started rereading “Le Petit Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. This timeless tale has inspired generations of children and adults alike, and its message of simplicity and childlike wonder continues to resonate today.

At its core, “The Little Prince” is a story about the importance of seeing the world with fresh eyes and rediscovering the wonder and beauty of everyday life. Through his encounters with these characters, the prince learns valuable lessons about life, love, and what it means to be human.

One of the key themes of “The Little Prince” is the idea of simplicity. Throughout the book, the prince marvels at the beauty of simple things, such as a rose or a sunset. He is able to see the wonder in the world around him because he approaches it with a childlike curiosity and an open mind. In contrast, many of the adults he meets are too focused on their own agendas and preconceptions to appreciate the beauty of the world around them.

I hope that my art has the power to inspire us to live more simply and with greater mindfulness. By tapping into our inner childlike wonder, we can cultivate a deeper appreciation for the world around us and rediscover the simple joys of life.
